WesBrew (Pty) Ltd is a South African liquid sweetener manufacturer and supplier focused on the brewing, beverage and fermentation industries. The business was established to provide competitive, reliable and flexible sweetener supply solutions to large industrial customers within South Africa and the broader African region.
The company operates a liquid sweetener production and processing facility in Cape Town and is supported by a broader regional platform Agribrew (Gauteng).
WesBrew is currently expanding its operational capability to support increasing demand and future product diversification.

The South African beverage and brewing market continues to require significant volumes of liquid sweeteners. At the same time, customers are increasingly evaluating more cost-effective and diversified sweetener strategies.
South Africa has a strong maize production base and competitive agricultural position for future maize-based sweetener production. This creates a significant long-term opportunity for liquid glucose, dextrose and blended sweetener systems.

27+ Years Industry Experience
Chris Engelbrecht brings more than 27 years of experience in the food manufacturing, processing and sweetener industries. His extensive background includes business development, operations, product development and the design and commissioning of liquid sweetener production facilities.
As Managing Director of WesBrew, Chris leads the company’s operational strategy, product development and continued growth within the South African food and beverage sector
Moeketsi Mokuoane
Director
Finance and Investment
Moeketsi Mokuoane is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance, investment, private equity and business management. He holds a B.Com Accounting (Cum Laude), B.Com Honours in Accounting and an M.Com in Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand.
His career includes senior investment roles and the founding and management of Tamela Capital Partners. At WesBrew, Moeketsi provides strategic and financial oversight, supporting the company’s growth and long-term development.
